So, what's everyone's opinion on Cinnamon?

My friend likes it because they think it feels more like windows than KDE.

I like it. great on arch. although since update my start menu doesn't seem to work with any themes.


Anyone else get this?

I use openbox anyway but I have it installed

whoever designed the theme needs to specify what the cinnamon panel should look like. a lot of themes don't do this, but numix does if you're looking for something to try.

Nice. Pretty. Good for windows users. LXDE is pretty good too, though. I haven't used the new gnome or any of the other less-standard DEs, barring i3, but they look promising too.

I have tried others. the panel is fine. I mean the actual menu besides shortcuts are left side are default. been like this since last week with an update. Like I said U use openbox so not a big deal but everything is the same for it.

Looking past the fact that it has CSS Inside™, since it's GTK, it's got everything I'd need in terms of features, and it's piss easy to install themes. It's basically the DE that has the least number of problems right now.
