But unlimited downloading isn't possible as free user.
Otherwise it wasn't that bad.

It's great. I started using it 2-3 (maybe more?) years ago when it came out. I don't store much on it though, there's probably less than 1GB of shit there. It's just my go to site when I want to share large files with others.

Mega has been compromised since it was overtaken by hostile chinese investors.

Fortunately, Kim Dotcom has said that now that Trump has won, we will move tot he US and start a new sharing site.

I store some backups on there, nothing huge though. Only back up once a month, and it's all encrypted and compressed.

Kim Dotcom is a piece of shit and I can't believe that anyone would trust him in even the smallest way. I won't touch anything that he's been involved in.

Also, Mega's downloading is fucking annoying with how it uses the browser's storage. So if you have your browser on a main, smaller SSD, the downloaded shit floods the SSD as opposed to every other sane thing you use that will let you default to your actual fucking download folder on your main data drive. Stupid as fuck.
