Best DE for Debian

Any DE is better without Debian.

All the DEs on Debian are in their default configuration. None of the DEs are configured for Debian.

LXDE doesn't even have a volume wheel without installing Volti and setting that up in lxsession's autostart.

The one that just werks is GNOME. That's it.

I recommend Ubuntu MATE, even if i like Unity it not everyone that like it usully MATE is for everyone plus it's lighter then Unity.

Dont listen to fags like >>57545112 , default configuration being default is best.
Of course the three historical DEs are going to be better supported.

Personally I use XFCE with the addition of dmenu_lanch and wicd instead of network manager, also run MATE but not on debian.
