No, but TVs don't need to be "less than an inch thick" or whatever is the new marketing meme. You're never gonna pick up a TV more than 3 times anyway, and one of them is when you first get it. Wall mounts are also pretty strong, I remember a friend who had his 50" mounted on the wall and I think it weighed around 125 pounds. It was roughly 4/5" in depth. This was in 2009/2010ish.

My TV has those and it's sturdy as fuck, it has survived several strong tremors without toppling over. Downside is you can't put it on a small table.
