The reason they went with her is because
1) she is a big star / known name
2) because of the big star attached to the film it is easier to get more money for production
3) she will put asses it seats

this is literally the worst thing to ever happen in recent history. this movie. i don't think killing myself 100 times would even begin to repair the damage this roastie has done to anime.

It's already bad before it's out. Live action of baby's first edgy movie. The anime is mediocre at best and the live action can only be worse. The 90's reboots are a joke.
