You're conflating the DMCA law that protects consumers against digital degradation by allowing them to rip their OWN copy (and not distribute it) with downloading ANY copy and using it.

Here's what's actually happening: the other ripper of the original dump is violating the license of copyright. The website that distributes it is violating DMCA. And you are simply downloading software without a license.

Hey /g/, I was looking forward to this thing til I heard about the god awful cable lengths.

Recently remembered I have a Pi 3 model B sitting in my closet, and realized using that I could run NES, SNES, and GBA with a decent cord length.

I was just wondering if you guys have any recommendations for controllers.
I got an email today with a link to this: https://thepihut.com/products/raspberry-pi-compatible-usb-gamepad-controller-snes-style
And it looks alright, only $6, has a decent cord length, and I know it'll work with my Pi. I was wondering if one of you guys could vouch for its quality or, alternatively, show me one you know is good. Moreover, I'm interested to know if the Pi's power output and the emulators themselves are able to do two player with two controllers.
Since I'm only gonna be emulating SNES, NES and GBA, an SNES controller layout is all I need.

For what it's worth, I have a Wii U Pro controller and a DS3, but I wasn't sure how those would work out what with drivers and power consumption.

Oh and is RetroPi the best option in terms of software? I haven't really looked into it much yet but that one seems to show up the most.
