Why the fuck is this allowed?

DS?
>>57524030
dual slot
Air flow, I suppos
>>57524033
dual slot is a meme
you don't need dual slot cards, at all
>>57524109
There isn't a single non-shit card which is single slot.
>>57524092
Why choke the graphics card then? There is literally no space between PSU and graphics card in this case, so also no real airflow
Then pick a case that is for your use case....
It's for people like me with small PSUs and long GPUs?
>>57524015
>mini case
>complains about not having space
>>57524015
Take out the PSU, put it on top.
>>57524264
get a seasonic X series PSU for its passive cooling during idle / low load computing. otherwise patrician choice of components.
>>57524276
it's a micro case actually. mini case has 4 expansion slots.
>>57524358
I'd love to, but they are too tall to allow the GPU to breathe. This unit's fan turns off at low load too.
>>57524395
how is it under load?
Toms hardware says it's super load then
>>57524264
>R9 Fury
my nigga!
>>57524015
>HALF CASE FREE
This is, you know, where the 5.25'' and 3.5'' inch bays normally are. Where are yours? Where are your drives?
>>57524264
>giant ass cooling system
>hugeass gfx card
>psu
>intake fan
>nothing more basically
Is this what desktop computers have degenerated into?
that case in particular is designed for watercooling. all that space is for radiators, pumps, etc, and the GPU won't have to breathe for obvious reasons
Speaking of which, have an Arc Midi R2 and I'm looking for something with less depth. What options do I have on the 75-100€ range for an atx sized case? Right now can only thing of the Corsair 400C and the FD Define C.
>>57524405
It's louder than a typical ATX PSU, i.e. it is audible. It's much quieter than the GPU though, obviously. Perhaps Toms got a dodgy unit?
Personally I'm someone who would rather have a louder sound if it is a pleasant 'whoosh' than a quieter but offensive sound. This PSU falls into the former category. Quite miraculously for a high wattage SFX unit, I haven't heard any coil whine.
>>57524458
What more do you need?
>>57524437
hard drives and remaining cables. They could easily fit in there with like half of what is free there.
The real reason there is so much space there, is that FD wants to make everyone of their cases watercooling-meme-compatible.
>>57524491
ok nice.
But why didn't you get the SilverStone Strider SFX-L? Seems like an overall better choice and is def. more silent.
>>57524437
drives (ssd) are mounted behind the mobo
>>57524395
oh does it? ok cool.
>>57524458
why would you want more inside your computer and what would it be?
mechanical hard drives?
waterpumps and water?
12 small fans pointed at every chip?
it's 2016, senpai, only children and retards don't go for the (silence + invisibility aesthetics) * performance equation.
The king of wasted space
Unless you're water cooling, then all that space gets taken the fuck up quickly.
>>57524517
A number of reasons.
Firstly, a friend of mine bought one and it had awful coil whine.
Secondly, the Silverstone model has a ball-bearing fan that makes an annoying noise. The Corsair has a rifle-bearing is much more pleasant, even if the decibel count is a little more.
Finally, the smaller Corsair model gives me the option in the future of moving to an even smaller case.
>>57524015
you should have bought this instead
>>57524015
why are you allowed to make poor choices?
freedom. but don't worry, you'll lose it soon enough.
>>57524015
The card looks like it fits just fine, what are you smoking?
