You dug your own grave anon
it's a great chance to install solus

if you leave the ">muh hacker distro" then kali is actually pretty good.
usability of fedora with the stability of debian.

why did they delete it though? because dazloader?

No. You can download win 10 for free off their own servers.

this. i got 7,8.1, 10 and even server 2012 isos
>>57520731
Does this mean my OEM's are useless
>>57522834
How can I be sure this is legit and not Ahmed botnet?

they want everyone using the same version of windows. as if the forced upgrade wasn't a big enough hint already

Delete the ei.cfg file then you can choose the desired version of Windows 7 during the installation (and don't forget to pick the english version)
>he doesn't have a Windows 7 CD

>>57520731
Yeah, because it's so hard to find a popular file on the fucking internet.
dumb ass nigger

A universal serial bus can't hold an ISO file.
>>57523364
Oh yea? What is a legit source of hashes and how can you be sure it's actually legit?
>>57523687

>>57523773
By cross referencing the SHA hash you calculated with several independent Google results
>>57523803
Or just use the hashes published by the same people who made the fucking operating system.
>>57523798
MS makes the hashes publicly available.
Step your game up, nigger.
>>57523788
that's why you burn a CD ya dip
>>57522813
Isn't 8.1 commonly regarded as a great update to otherwise shit Windows? So with that in mind there shouldn't be a lot of demand for 8.0
>>57523759
>he doesn't have a keychain of USBs
Sad!
>>57523957
The contents of the windows install media won't fit on a CD. the install.wim file alone is about 3GB
>>57523988
There is still some demand for straight 8.0 isos.
For instance if you had a computer running 8.0 that was never upgraded to 8.1 through the ms store, you can't install fresh with an 8.1 disc and have it activate. You must painfully go through the ms store upgrade procedure to register the computer in Microsoft's servers' for a fresh install of 8.1 to be eligible. It is retarded.

how would you know what I use and don't use? I have a lot of VMs and computers and would prefer to use whatever MSDNAA licenses I have left, which often only work on a specific OS version. just because you are an unproductive NEET who only rices the desktop and watches anime on his computer doesn't mean that everyone else is too.
>Keeping the ISO
>Not recompressing install.wim into a LZMS-compressed ESD and throwing away the rest like you should
It's like you guys hate free disk space
>>57524713
I installed Ubuntu for the first time in 2005, but I still use Windows on the desktop, because Linux doesn't support the software I need nor the games I want to play.

>>57524902
yes, because ricing your desktop and masturbating to anime in your mom's basement is so much better than actually doing something productive with your time and/or having fun by playing video games.
>>57524815
Don't lie to yourself. You know that you'll never use them.
I own an OEM of Windows 7. I'm surprised that I was able to register it on a second computer, completely different machine. I was told that with OEM's you can only use them on one machine and then I'd have to buy Windows 7 again, but here I am still on Windows 7 today and it has never complained about registration.
>>57525006
well, let's go by your logic. if you have any unused files whatsoever, like all those old photos you never look at, you must delete them or you're autistic :^)
>>57525041
Not true actually. Licensing on Windows 7 as far as retail vs System builder vs OEM_SLP channels are all very easy to go back and forth with. If you're interested, look at these articles. They give a good taste for what's going on.

Anyone got en_windows_embedded_posready_7_eval_x64_dvd_698169.iso?
>>57525146
I didn't have to do any of those backing up or key recovery tricks though. I just put my OEM dvd into my computer and used the same product key that is on the back of the dvd case.
http://mdl-tb.ct8.pl generates direct links to Microsoft servers as if you had MSDN subscription, like so:
https://software-download.microsoft.com/pr/Win7_Pro_SP1_English_x64.iso?t=08ddd96d-b7b2-4dc4-bdb6-03f2a496ccd1&e=1479310979&h=c8f70125f306adecfeb8881d2646bb77
Note that MSDN servers are pretty slow sometimes and you're better off with torrents.
>>57524834
What did he mean by this?
You can still download them but it will only let you download the version the key you have is for.

A guide to wasting of time. If you need to install windows you have to have fuck about recreating the iso.
>>57525835
>>57525916
I accidentally words
>>57525916
Not really.
I have a WinPE flash drive (and in live CD form in case I run into a ancient PC) with wimlib-imagex and Windows ADK tools.
If anything, windows deployment is quicker.
>>57526215
If your day is spent deploying windows it makes sense but for the anon interested it's a timesink. You only gain a few hundred mb per iso.
>>57526215
I like how Windows seems to double in size with every single new release.
>>57521016
why do you keep linux isos when you can download them in like 30seconds?
hoarder much?
I wonder if MS employees are required to use Win 10 at home. Like if caught, they get called in by their boss for a stern talking too.
>>57524715
not complaining but how is this legal?
>>57526391
>Like if caught, they get called in by their boss for a stern talking too.
nah, their H1B visa will just get cancelled and another pajeet brought in to replace him
>>57526399
Because MS doesn't know or care about it.
>>57526375
The exception being 2000, it was half the size of 98.
>>57520731
No, they didn't. Still, you can get them from:
http://mirror.corenoc.de/digitalrivercontent.net/
>>57526375
That's partly because they need winsxs to have every previous version of (almost) every dll for software compatibility.
What is a good source for Windows .isos? I'd love to have everything from 3.1 onwards for VMs and old computers.
>>57526438
incidentally, Windows 2000 with SP4 + the resource kit is the best OS microsoft ever made
>>57526471
For really old stuff you have winworldpc.com
>>57526473
or will ever make.
>>57521016
>saving outdated releases of lunix
>>57526536
yeah no doubt, every OS is becoming more bloated and windows has really gone to shit under pajeet leadership
Why exactly is software getting more bloated? Because I do not feel I can do all that much more with things like Office compared to the early 2000s versions. Something like Office 2003 will start instantly and use almost no resources while Office 2016 takes so long it has a splash screen startup with loading bar.
OS will also claim with each version that they have improved performance in this and that but if you look at benchmarks they are always slower than their predecessor every single time.
>>57520731
I use shitty ancient operating systems with almost a decade of patches and shit tacked on for no reason.
meh, get fucked.
windows 10 is better than windows 7
deal with it.
>>57526456
Yeah, I fucking hate this thing. I wish they'd just statically link everything into the executables or compress everything somehow.

Kali is a Hindu goddess... those of you that hate Indians don't really know what we have contributed to the computer world
>>57526608
Computers becoming better is allowing developers to be lazy.
Also, abstraction layers are a thing. You can make a semi-functional application in html and js if you're determined (and stupid) enough.
>>57526656
>>57526609
you have to go back, prakeesh
>>57526608
Unused legacy code piling up, lazy development practices. Adobe for instance changed their "new project" dialogs in everything they make to be a webpage rendered with a fucking embedded copy of Chromium which they ship with Photoshop. Microsoft have replaced calc.exe and the control panel with an "app" that relies on a whole fucking subsystem and layers upon layers of abstractions, because it's slightly easier to write. It won't be long until people say "fuck it" and start writing kernels in Node.JS.
>>57526608
Because they can get away with it.
>>57526632
