What should I go with for general-purpose image creation and editing?
Should I get GIMP?
Should i get wine to use Photoshop?
Pinta?
Ive tried using Fotoxx, but Im not satisfied.

Photoshop is great, but do you really need all of its great features? Just think of it like that. I am friends with a graphic designer and while they use photoshop in the office they use GIMP at home because the idolize the FOSS philosophy and also know that anything that can be done in photoshop can be done in gimp - just not to the same level of convenience.

I was thinking about GIMP as well. It looks like it could be complicated to use, but powerful.
I may try pinta, just because it looks simple to use.
Would be nice if an anon could give me a first hand opinion of GIMP

Gimp's AA is shit.
Really easy to use.
Not as full fledged as PS without you adding extra modules.
I used pinta once and I don't remember liking it too much, but maybe it's changed.

So... wine and PS it is then..?
Damn I friggen hate having wine installed
Fucking grow out of making "OC", manchild.
Photoshop CC costs only $15 per month. If you can't afford that, you need a new job.
