Probably a rubber dome under that plastic swtich cover. Some keyboards (such as ones made by NMB) did that.

It looks like an electrostatic capacitive switch. Still a rubber dome but widely accepted in the mechanical KB community. See Topre switches.

They are BTC sliders, basically rubber domes with a cherry MX mount. Almost as good as topre yet don't cost anywhere near as much.
