If you set yourself up a nice desk, whats the issue?

Get a comfy chair, nice keyboard and mouse, good quality monitors, etc.

I don't see why you'd want to limit yourself to a laptop which more often than not is not going to do EVERYTHING right, and if it does it tends to be 50% more than the same specs from a desktop setup.

Unless you travel often I can't see why you'd replace a desktop with JUST a laptop. I have a low powered laptop for when I go out, but I don't need desktop power when i'm mobile.

Adobe Lightroom is still slow as fuck on laptop hardware, especially with my 36 megapixel raws.
