or should I just learn java and kill myself already
C is good starter language still.
The hours spent tracing various segfaults could hardly be spent more productively.
kill yourself and then learn java
No matter which you learn first, eventually every programming language will make sense to you, they just use another type or formatting, or maybe difference terms for the same task.
Master/learn 1 programming language and other language will makes sense to you itself.

Learn Haskell. You will never use it because it's a meme language, but just knowing the basics of it will improve your coding in over languages.

Kill yourself.
Stupid weaboo.
>java
Found the pajeet.

luluco is fucking shit
Java 8 is actually really nice. Lambda and better asynchronous support make it pretty much on par with any modern language.
>>57508381
Java 8 is a fucking joke, and filled with half-baked shit.
>>57508381
>using java after oracle kidnapped it
yeah no. there's a reason everyone is migrating despite the huge codebases and enterprise legacy shit
>>57508330
Don't listen to this retard, Learn what ever language you are comfy with and expand as you go along for better job opportunities
>>57507127
it's all same shit until you're getting serious about it, and when you do you know exactly what you want to do. Java is objective, C is not, but in the end you'll end up with same schemes and ways of thinking, and this is what matters.
Start with C, learn about pointers, move to java when you'll grasp it. This way you will know both lower-level ways and OOP.

no >:^(
>>57507127
skip the learning part and just KYS already
>>57507127
C is one of the best beginner languages. If you are learning programming for the first time, C is an excellent way to start.

To what?
Literally nothing else has the performance of hotspot (not even being ironic here)
>>57508372
>luluco is the fucking shit
fixed it for you

Start with scripting, ruby is a weeb/hipster language (you'll probably like it). Then go with assembly and learn how a computer works.
What's a good c compiler then? And thoughts about turbo c?
>>57510605
>turbo C
Are you making dos games? wtf
Install the 2015 ms vc++ compilers and llvm
Depends on what you want to do. If you ever want to program microcontrollers or other low level stuff, then yes you need to know C.
>>57510605
gcc is the standard

>learning java afterlife
You will reincarnate in a pajeet.
>>57507157
>I'm shit at coding

Everything is worth learning in any year, anon. The more you know the more marketable you are in the job market.
