just werks. data driven development, no oop bullshit/polymorphism cancer.
C# and Python for work

Relearning one of the ones which I forgot.
>What was your first programming language
ObjectPascal
>Why is it your favorite
It isn't. But it isn't that bad, actually.

It just werks, has a godlike IDE, shit ton of open source frameworks and other tools, also knowing it well basically means guaranteed employmeent.

Python

GBasic (not to be confused with QBasic)
>>Why is it your favorite
It's not. I'm learning it because it raised in demand lately.

Scala
It gets a lot of hate, but I still think it is an amazing language. I do miss doing manual memory management, and for some tasks I miss the simplicity of C, but for 99% of my use cases it fits the bill.
If I want something fast I can even use chisel, built on top of scala, to create FPGA designs which blows your freshman fizzbuzz shit out of the water any day.

Oh, and my first language was java, but I didn't like it and if anything it made me very apprehensive towards scala
