Last time I had that piece of junk on my computer, I installed a few themes and widgets but afterwards the desktop kept crashing literally every 5 minutes, so the distro was unusable.

I have not had KDE crash on me except for when the transition happened to 5, but that quickly went away.
KDE neon is only meant for testing KDE, half the packages can't install because something is broken.
Just use Ubuntu and install kde if you like that sort of thing

I turned off nearly all of the graphical effects as well as the experimental features in the compositor. It doesn't fuck up on me at all. It didn't crash even when I did have some effects. I just turned them off to make it faster overall. Pretty light as far as KDE goes.

Perhaps in the past that was a problem, but I haven't witnessed this issue one time.
