I am currently using a WD Green 2TB 15 MB/s USB 2.0. This is a hard-disk which needs a separate power supply and it's not portable for shit.
What's the best 1 TB portable drive?

I like my seagate slimdrive
I'm using a WD My Passport Ultra 1tb and it works fine, gets about 100+mb/s read and write speeds on usb 3.0
The one pictured in >>57499840 is great.

I use that one at work but its very pricey, but it's awesome. I'd only recommend it though if you are constantly transferring very large files (Such as a full disk image of another machine).
Mil-spec, doesn't require external power, has a tiny extra cable that's attached to the enclosure so you're never without one. Internals are Toshiba or Hitachi, I have a couple that have been my daily drivers for years.

Oh, and it opens up with four Philips screws, incredibly easy to replace the 2.5" drive if it dies.
