desu I never had a problem with shit stations. I like the creativity that goes into putting together a workspace with budget or free parts.

What I can't stand is the accumulated garbage, useless shit, etc. that always seems to go along with them. I used a Cedar Mill Celeron pre-built all the way up to 2014 but my desk was always organized and I ate in the kitchen where food belongs.

That said, nice shit station.

Mine isn't that shitty but my server fits. Posted in /b/ earlier so I'll post again.

Far left/middle is my Thinkpad T400 running Peppermint OS. To the right (front) is my phone which is a Nexus 5 running Sailfish OS. Behind that is a bunch of scrap parts in a wooden box that I put together with magic and hot glue. It has a 160GB hard drive in it and it acts as my home server. It also runs Peppermint OS. Under that junk pile server is my 2006 white MBP. It's officially 10 years old now and runs Debian 8 with XFCE/OS X Tiger, and Windows 7.

This is my desktop. Please ignore the snack bar and flash drives. They are not important. R8 my setup.

Does anyone know if Ubuntu can be installed like Debian where it fetches most of the installation files via internet during install?

Ubuntu is too big for a 700mb CD but Debian has a feature that allows for an "internet install" where only the first files are burned to a CD and then it downloads the rest of the files via internet during installation.

I often switch around between using my Evil Twin/Vibro Champ and my GT100 for amps. The simulations are incredibly good. I often use it if I don't want to carry my amps to a gig, I can just connect to PA via line out and it's fine.
If you don't want to spend 800+ on normal effect pedals the GT100 is the only choice for a multifx pedal, unless you want to play your guitar like an analog synth, constantly turning knobs all the time on everything. Then it's probably better to spend the money on small pedals because you need to press less buttons to access the settings.

I found nothing negative about it in 2 years. Good investment.
