low-popularity VPNs are the best
- fast speeds
- not banned everywhere
- not as heavily monitored
why would I tell you what VPN I use?
My own.

>so many choices
There's only one choice; Install OpenVPN-Server on your root server/vps. Don't use an external VPS service, they're all overpriced and/or trash and would probably rat you out.
Not OP, how does one create a VPN? Would you need a separate router, or is their no other option that buying the ones that cost thousands?
