Debian is a lousy desktop, use it only for servers. Literally any distro with an LTS kernel is equally stable. There is virtually no reason to use Debian.

Arch is a meme. It started as a joke. Install Arch you'll be 1337. Really it was a trick to turn people off of linux. But some of you assholes have such brick heads you started to take pride in the fact you could run Arch. Now a bunch of people made a wiki so using Arch is no harder then using Ubuntu or Fedora.
