Anyone here code on 2013-15 13" macbook pro? Should I get one of those for cheaper than the new ones? New ones have nicer screen, graphics, and battery but the butterfly keys and touch bar are jokes.
No esc key either? Have to double tap and look down just to access volume? smfh.

Yea, why?

Do you ever feel you need a quad core instead? Or a newer processor?

> No esc
If you really need it like in Vim, it's convenient to map Caps lock to Escape.
Still using a 2011 dual booting Debian Jessie. No issues and just upgraded to OS Sierra too.

thanks that may be useful as hell

Lifelong Windows user here, which macbook is the best, especially for someone who wants to code? I hear a lot of good things about the 2013 version.

currently using a 2012 15" with Transcend 1TB SSDand couldn't be more satisfied. The new ones frighten me
What's it like coding on a mac versus Windows or Linux?

anything cli related that you use in your process will actually work or work with minor tweaking. On windows you have to pray and sacrifice a fuckign goat.

I don't feel like it's worth getting into macs now that they're going to complete shit
Almost fell for it myself if they didn't ruin the keyboard
2014 retina here, best apple laptop I've ever bought.

13 or 15? I'm really tempted to go last generation on this next one
