I want to buy the most reliable hard drive but most of the reviews say this HGST is pretty noisy. Anyone has it?

If you care about noise, get an SSD.

If noise really concerns you, don't get a computer.

I wish I could get a 2TB or even 1TB SSD for anywhere close to that price but we're not there yet. I'm just wondering if HGST drivers are noiser than say WD, Seagate, etc
But I always hear about them being unreliable so the noise may be a trade-off.

This can't be real...

If you want reliability, go HGST.
Data shows their drives are better. Even though HGST is a division of WD, they're operating them independently.

Clearly there's no middle ground, it's all black and white huh. I bet you keep your fans at full speed all the time.

that data being backblaze?
>Even though HGST is a division of WD
wd being bad because of backblaze statistics?
those statistics only having wd reds which were a fucking meme let's be real but are not indicative of the rest of the line?
let's be real, if you can't into statistics or can't draw conclusions from statistics you probably shouldn't be buying enterprise class drives
