What other laptop can do this?
Why is this a selling point to you

What's the purpose of connecting a storage system directly to your computer?

Believe it or not, ethernet has speeds higher than 1gb.
Plus, using a NAS protocol is generally better for an end-user system than SAN or DAS anyway, because the storage system can run ZFS or some other filesystem that actually provides protection for data.

does the wifi even keep working if you do that

people are used to "the apple way", but... what the fuck

wtf I hate Apple now

Connecting stuff to the usb-c ports knocks out the wireless

Actually no laptop can right now.
Because compatible TB3 RAID Array systems don't exist right now. And you can't daisy chain TB2 devices through TB3.

fuck you intel this was working 10 years ago
>>57437288
10 years ago we didn't have displays needing as much bandwidth as we do now. No wireless connection is going to run at 2560x1440 display at 60 Hz, much less anything above it.
>>57437316
wireless ac is looking pretty sweet, im sure some nice proprietary compression would make it surprisingly livable for work stuff, tvs have little wifi dongles anyways to stream the high bw needs direct

Literally no one will use this setup.
Too expensive for memesters who would want to.
Too impractical for professionals.
>>57437934
Imagine trying to leave in a hurry with it all plugged in, unsafely removing your NASes and corrupting both at once
>resulting power fluctuations fries both displays and thus mobo
