That video is a perfect example showing what a piece of shit standard USB 3.x really is. It's known to generate so much interference on 2.4GHz band to be entirely capable of killing a WiFi 2.4GHz connection. This issue is valid to all USB 3.x devices since its spec is fucked up. Try putting a USB 3.x device near antennas of any laptop and should be able to observe the exact same WiFi issue Louis pointed out.
USB 3.x needs to fucking die.
Apple made that shitty Macbook so thin that they were forced to make the board even denser and hence noisier so any interference issues are amplified.
