No.
If you're going to seriously consider using Linux on a workstation for an actual job, then use something with slightly outdated, yet very stable, packages. Debian would be my first recommendation, though fedora would work just as well.
Going with a "stable" distribution minimizes the risk of things like data loss, but I'd still consider going with Windows 10 Pro.

It just works out of the box. Having to fix/work on your workstation is very unproductive.

I was thinking about debian, but I can't really afford the outdated packages with the workstation I'll be using. I do agree, however, that a rolling release distro is WAY too bleeding edge.
Windows is not an option for various reasons.
