Let me tell you, those phones are excellent. I myself own a BBClassic. And the fact that you can use this little machine as a presentation device with some Slimport cable is amazing for every business meeting. E-Mail is a breeze with the BBHub.

But the ultimate dealbreaker is the void of apps. No Whatsapp or working WeChat (which I need for work), no Telegram. No apps. Sure you can install either the outdated apps from the amazon store, or install APKs yourself, but there's no guarantee the apps might not crash or be riddled with bugs that make using the app impossible.

If you can find one for maybe 150 bucks and it won't hurt you to eventually burn the cash, go for it.

I've been using an OPO for the past 2 years as my daily driver and thinking of upgrading to a Redmi Note 4 for $155 versus Lenovo Zuk Z2 for $235.

Anyone have experience with MediaTek devices? I heard MediaTek devices typically don't get CM which is a bummer. I wouldn't really consider myself a power user that really needs the SD820 but I like to future-proof myself. I also prefer the Redmi's 5.5" over the Zuk's 5.0". The battery life of the Redmi is also a selling point for me.

Xiaomi is a good manufacturer in general. My Redmi Note 3 Pro has good build quality, decent screen quality, good audio output (with a slight hiccup, though there was a simple fix), and a processor that's somewhere between the SD 810 and SD 820. I also have the Piston 3 earbuds, and they're of better quality than what my iPod came with a couple of years ago. Take what you will, but my next phone will most likely be Xiaomi again.

Have you used it? How do you know the UI is full of bugs? Reviews said otherwise and it looks pretty close to stock android. So from MemePhone 2 to SE. What the fuck do I do now? You can always use xiaomi.EU ROMs for xiaomi phones which is like the global roms with no OTA. Just make sure the ROM exists, I'm sure one will be made for it. They get built weekly so it's fairly easy to keep up with miui and OS updates.

Don't get a G5 unless you want screen burn. Bootloops don't really exist unless you throw your phone in autistic tantrums. If you don't care about roms and stuff go for a samsung. Try to get a snapdragon 820 chipset is my best advice, 50% fast than that 801 stuff and plenty fast compared to 810 even. Battery life is better as well. Your real best bet is going to be a samsung or just get another G3 if you're content. Dunno why you'd stay on verizon...
