R9 390, they are the best thing to mine ethereum on. This means your heater can sort of pay for itself if electricity is cheap where you live. My parents run a setup with 12 of them to heat their house

If the GPU is putting out 100W of heat it will do so regardless of whether it is at 40C or 100C. The only difference is how efficiently that heat is getting transferred from the GPU to the air.

I have a 290x and its amazing but not that amazing.

I use 2 hd7970 ghz edition cards with a i5 3570k @ 4.7ghz.
Heats for about 500-700w.
Also BOINC is nice when you need heat and have no real others use for your gpu at the moment.

In my experience a 7950 boost can overpower any window air conditioned.

The tv I use as a monitor heats my room better than my gpu ever could. 40 degrees outside and I''m burning up.

I've always wanted a kotatsu but idk how I will shitpost with it. Surely you don't put monitors on the kotatsu do you?
