I prefer don't go with 10 now, people said is too many update, like every day

I just need an stable os but with good performance

Windows 7 seems to go ideal option, but idk it's too old now

I can replace 7 with 8.1 really well or just wait a few more and go with 10?

Get an Enterprise LTSB ISO if you're worried about too many updates.
>>
>>57424814
>idk it's too old now
what the fuck does that even mean
>>
>>57424814
>people said is too many update, like every day
Windows 10 gets updates as often as every other version did, somewhere between once or twice a month depending on the necessity of the patches.
>>
>>57424814
What the fuck are you trying to say? I'm an ESL and I can pretty much understand what people mean when they fuck up their text.

Jesus this took me a couple of rereads to understand
>>
>>57424814
Just use a plain Windows 7 installation. Make sure to disable updates to prevent telemetry bullshit leaking in.

>>57424862
You're not as good as you think.
>>
>>57424814
Windows 7 will always be great. Windows XP is still great even if it's kinda old. If you want 7 then run the Aegis script, after that don't install updates.

>>57424862
Don't bully.

But is it secret? Is it safe?
What about exploits, vulnerabilities and malware and all that good stuff?

if you are worried about " exploits, vulnerabilities and malware and all that good stuff? " use

I believe microsoft will jew you out of 7 with such things like they have done to me.
I got some SupTab script warning a few days ago, formatted and now 7 won't update past sp1. It just keep hanging on 'checking for updates' forever.
I tried everything, even the offline installer didn't work.

They are coming for you 7 users, you've been warned. Better upgrade to 10 goym, now only one hundred something haha!

Fuck.

Windows 10 is a fucking nightmare for power users. It gets more locked down with every major version upgrade. It is an abomination with built in apps like Edge and Cortana which cannot be disabled. It causes my audio/video to stutter since anniversary update. It causes 100% disk usage from startup and at random intervals. It offers no reward for gaming despite DX12 which few GPU support. It is a resource hog for laptop users killing battery life.

Ubuntu 16.04 / Windows 7 only option. Windows 8.1 is like Vista, a failed abortion.

what the fuck? I thought I was the only one. I reinstalled clean Win 7 ISO 5 times and it keeps checking for updates for 7 hours. What the hell did they do to it? It smells like deliberate sabotage of older versions.

I had this issue as well and what I ended up having to do was manually update the windows update client.
>>
>>57429884
Kind of pointless, Win 7 is dead and soon new laptops won't be able to run it due to lack of drivers.

Best to switch to Linux and get used to it.

this works perfect just gotta use it right http://download.wsusoffline.net/

>>57424814
8.1 is objectively the best unless you have some specific needs or if you have autism and the full screen Start bothers you so much.
>>
>>57424814
Do you need dx12? If yes use Windows 10

If not use Windows 7
>>
>>57429934
I installed 7 on my dad's girlfriend's laptop and not even that solved the problem. It would hang on one of the updates in the script. It's hopeless.
