I'm kinda interested in testing netbsd on my old asus 1001px netbook. The recommended netboot install seem like a major pain in the ass tho.

i found the partitioning for netbsd to be tough...if you plan on dual booting, do be careful which partitions you write over, especially with netbsd

Netboot? You mean like booting a small image and downloading the OS from the Internet? It's not that hard.

One thing I used to do was "mark" a partition with a file system in gparted or something, then let the installer reformat that partition.
