Would upgrading to 32GB of ram be a waste of $100? I currently have 16GB and my motherboard maxes at 32GB. I pretty much just play vidya at 1440p, edit vidya footage and have 100 tabs open in browser.

If it's DDR3 I suggest you browse craigslist or whatever before you buy new ram for $100. All the PC shops in my town literally sell it's for like $10 per 8GB stick. Upgraded to 32GB ram for $20.
