Yes it still exists but it's like Usenet, a little out of fashion.
There's quite a bit of channels on rizon for Chinese cartoon, and a few for western shit.

Don't remember any specific channel though, just know they're out there. I'm more of a torrent guy.

I use #horriblesubs for airing shit, since it is way faster when the torrents first come out. For everything else I use U2, ADVD and AB.

But if you are a publicfag you might have better results in terms of speed with XDCC, I would always check.
