I plan on buying an e-reader for recreational reading and putting school text books onto. So it must be able to import e-pubs and the like, and not be only restricted to DRM books.
What e-readers do you all recommend?

Kindle 3 has worked pretty well for me, quite easy to find, and cheap to buy
I really like my Kobo.
Youre gonna have a bad time with textbooks on a normal eink device.
Textbooks are typically large format and image heavy. Scrolling is gonna be annoying.
I want to get a large format eink reader, but those are expensive.
You should look into a tablet, its what i did, and i hate reading off a tablet, but it was way better than when i tried to load a textbook on my simple touch.

Ooh, I like the Kobo Aura, but at that price, I can get the Paperwhite cheaper with pricematching and using my discount at a store I work part time.
