Android as a whole is filled with botnet programs. Disabling the gaming services won't change much. They even shove a " Let Google check your phone periodically for """malicious apps""" " message in your face every time you install an app and sometimes out of nowhere if you block them out of doing that.

If you're gonna use either iOS or Android, you have no choice but to take it up the ass in some way or form - The only real choice is which company you'll be trusting with your shit.

I also have a Blackberry Priv. The only Google apps I keep is the Services and Playstore. Apart from the Blackberry apps, most of my other apps are from fdroid.

Nope. Also, I forgot to mention, if you have several devices you'd like to use, get APK Share from F-Droid and load your apps from your main device to the others. It uses bluetooth and will save you a little time versus sideloading manually. Good luck and enjoy your botnet free existence.
