I need to try a new Linux distro.

This is a blue board which means that it's for everybody (Safe For Work content only). If you see any adult content, please report it.

So I've tried a lot of linux distros, including arch, gentoo, funtoo, ubuntu, mint, mageia, slackware.

I need something that doesn't make me spend all of my time configurating, but that is configurable, and that doesn't use systemd.

What would the /g/eniuses recommend?

Solus.

Red Star OS
Astra Linux
Alt Linux
MCBC (russian army hardened distro, can be found on torrents)

Now that the dust has setled

Did he get to grope a feminist or not?

Serious question, have you considered openBSD? Unless you want to use steam or other proprietary shit openBSD is great.
>>
>>57394829
I did, but I currently use a nVidia GFX card, unfortunately. But I did like the OS.

>>57394795
Solus does look quite clean and interesting, I'll give it a go. But does it use SystemD?
>>
>>57394795
This installed it yesterday. Finally a real distro.no third party repositories yet though.
>>
>>57394838
>but does it use systemD
Yeah. It also boots up in under 3 seconds thanks to it
>>
>>57394853
I'll try it, but I'm very suspicious of SystemD. Also systemd isn't any faster than any other init subsystem. It's just more bloated.
>>
>>57394827
Who'd want to grope a feminist?
>>
>>57394862
Is there legitimately any reason to not like systemD?
It just works, just like every other init system yet. All it does is make things a little easier.
>>
>>57394906
I'm an openBSD guy but I tried a system with systemD once and it wasn't so bad. Only real gripe was that it insisted upon renaming devices to stupid unintuitive shit.

heartbleed wasn't a tiny typo. Aside from the fact that checking length on the heartbeat wasn't possible because the random length padding added to it there was also the fact that OpenSSL used its own malloc functions that were designed for speed over security.

Get out Keviiiiiiiiiiiiiin
REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

Still, its suspicious that Redhat, whose number one customer is the NSA which has contacted linus multiple times to put backdoor in the kernel, is now pushing systemd on every single distro.

Gentoo

You can try Salix and Slacko Puppy.
Both Slackware-based but have more pre-configured setups.
>>
>>57394792
I'd recommend Solus
>>
>>57395014
About a third of those posts aren't me. Atleast my copypasta brings something to the argument, unlike that "Dream in code" spic-poster.

Explain.

SHUT THE FUCK UP KEVIN YOU FUCKING PRICK
>>
>>57396041
Is this a new meme?
And what's wrong with solus?
>>
>>57396058
No, the prick who shills Solus at every opportunity is called Kevin. Where were you last night? I bet you were doing something pathetic like going outside or drinking with friends.

Nothing really, I just like shouting at Kevin. Although I will say it's just Ubuntu with its own shit package manager (apt clone) and elementaryOS level DE.
>>
>>57394792
opensuse tumbleweed, you can also go barebones and configure it, but no doubt yast and obs is godly
>>
Install Gentoo on android or with the FreeBSD kernel.
>>
>>57394795
FUCK OFF KEVIN
>>
>>57394792
Why not just create a linux distro yourself?
