Which version of scheme is good for beginners (Linux machine)?
I though about "Chez Scheme", it's apparently open source.
Or is it worth getting into Clojure? AFAIK it's pretty differnt from Scheme, right?

Thanks.
But could you tell me why?

Good support for Scheme standards and SRFI, has vector graphics included by default, has Edwin, both can compile and interpret.
Also the recommended scheme of SICP

I see.
thx
FWIW, I used Racket's
#lang sicp
to do problems out of the book, worked flawlessly

OP, I just looked at a PDF of The Little Schemer, not expecting anything, but I saw something that made me so happy.
It reminded me of a late 1800s Latin textbook, but with more humor. Thank you, OP.

Racket. The book uses MIT scheme, but it is no longer being mantained and all the example will run in Racket
Racket also comes with a good small "IDE" targeted at beginners
