When I bought mine, I think there was an option. Anyway, the back of the screen has a really weak cover. If you plan to carry it around in a backpack, be extra careful as some pressure could damage to the screen that appears as a white blotch. I would carry it around with a notebook and the spiral damaged the screen. Lenovo wouldn't admit a design flaw and I got stuck with it.
