Hey guys, I've got a late 2013 MacBook Pro 13" Retina base model. i5, 4GB ram, 128gb SSD.
I want to partition my hard drive and install a simple, uncluttered OS for web browsing etc. I assume that Linux is my best option. Which one would be best for my retina screen and 4gb of RAM?
Cheers

4.4.0 seems to be sufficient Linux for you, anon.
Install Gentoo.

Found your problem.
Fedora or Ubuntu.
Xubuntu cause XFCE is the bomb.
It really doesn't matter that much. If it's your first time using Linux then just use Ubuntu. Try one of the versions with a different DE though, I think Unity is pretty bad. Gnome is solid if you want it to just work and look decent
