As much as I like bashing on the botnet, I'm left in awe. How in the holy mother of fuck can a google earth delete all my other programs "special" folder, even those who were running in background? The next thing I know is that most of my shortcuts in the start menu are gone.

No, I got it from the official secured and trusted Google™ webpage: https://support.google.com/earth/answer/168344?hl=en and getting the direct installer

Ask google nicely and they might fix it for you. Stop using the disk with(out) youe missing stuff on though.
