I can garuntee you with 100% certainty that you have decades, if not lifetimes to wait, until we can control a computer, well, with just our mind.

What other form of input could possibly be more intuitive than a touch screen? I guess you could project an OS in 3D in a room, and people would hate it.
>>
>>57352397
The cheapest surface 3. Atom is okay, but don't pretend it's not the weakest cpu on the market
>>
>>57352312
I hear rumors of some tech companies working on mechanical input devices they call "keyboards". This keyboard thing is going to be even bigger than touch screens once it hit the market.

I seen some professorial demos and they get things done faster without even using a mouse, its like some kind of super power.

Getting mine on Monday, I'm stoked. Been waiting for something like this for 20 years now. When I saw it on Indigogo this march I was interested but noped, fuck that.

I take a look at it now that is is no longer vaporware and they upgraded from a x8500 to a x8700 and added a fan. It should be just enough to play all the games I never got to play throughout the years. They even got Fallout 4 running ok on it. I'll give it to my son when he gets old enough to use it

I bought an Emotiv EPOC and it does not work well at all with 16 electrodes which takes 5 minutes to put on. They now have a dry electrode version with only like 6 or 8 electrodes, I'm not wasting any more time on it.

For one example just look at how much game controllers have advanced since PS1 era. Sure they have made tons of cool innovations but everyone is and will be stuck on the same old shit. Christ it took over 10 years for PC games to adopt it

Good for hands free environments like when driving, but sounds like a pain elsewhere. What if you need to get work done in the library or something?
Also adds on processing time while the computer interprets what you say instead of you just doing it yourself.
>AR
Good for passive interface but I can imagine this being a pain in the dick as an input method. We'll see.

You already technically can, its just
A). Very expensive
B). Very limited
C). Much harder to use than just a mouse and keyboard/touchscreen

>>57353489
>Voice
Not sure it will ever become a primary input. A mouse and keyboard, or a touch screen, or for everything, thats why its a primary input. I cant imagine playing games with my voice, or at least not games designed with voice control mechanics, which eliminates the point.

I think AR is certainly possible, but the way we use it would be very similar to a touchscreen or keyboard, it would just be virtual

I feel sorry for all the x86 GDP Win babies expecting a "portable windows gaming machine". Meanwhile Pyra Patricians enjoy a power- and heat-efficient processor that gives you 10 hours of actual playtime and a large array of free (as in freedom) software to support it.
>B-but Angry Birds processor from a 2010 phone!!!
I wonder if that was possible on a 2010 Android phone:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cEbu-0kAtjU
The specs may be outdated but the product is still fresh and hasn't properly been done before.

Pic related. It's the Pandora. The first device from EvilDragon and his team that did not disappoint.
>>
>>57360033
Oh and one more thing: Everything you see in the video is done by the CPU alone. So before you cry
>PowerVR??? There are no libre drivers for that!
consider that even without hardware GPU acceleration, the Pyra is a beast that can easily do two instances of PCSXrearmed, GIMP, various Dos games and an internet browser, all at the same time.

Buttons actually feel really good on it.
A massive improvement over the XD.
The Dpad is superb, (the XDs was spongy), the face buttons decent like the XDs, the sticks lovely to use, the keyboard is actually pretty capable and has some resistance there. (Not like a cheap rubber keyboard you'd expect the keys are a firm plastic)
The shoulder buttons are really nice. At first they seem a little loose, but they are comfortable to click with.

Typing isn't too bad on it. I mean you got to stretch your right thumb, which kind of sucks, but it's more than functional.

Earlier I played Typing of the Dead: Overkill on it and got a C rank on the first level. (And the game actually works great on it also. Very smooth framerate)
The raised plastic on the middle keyboard keys helps you position your fingers into a decent neutral position.

I love my GPD Win already. No lie, you can play Dragonball Xenoverse 2 on it with a little slowdown in the overworld. Optimised PC ports run pretty well on it with low settings.

I just need to wait for my 128gb microSD to arrive.

I need to find a USB Flashstick/HDD that isn't going to overheat like crazy also. (The 128gb sandisk ones I got disconnect constantly on all my PCs from the bare metal getting too hot)

The screen is great as well. Playing Gitaroo Man on PPSSPP is amazing.

The only gripe I have with it, is that some games and emulators it's a pain to setup Xinput since you have to switch into it.

The solution is to put it into xinput before booting the software up and plug in a mouse or use a bluetooth one to configure it.
(had to do it for Sonic Generations)

Same layout except the Win has a proper Nintendo-style D-pad.

Good to know you'll need to spend even more money on your already overpriced unreleased gizmo to get the hardware to match the default configuration of the cheaper WIN that can already be purchased today.

>>
>>57355262
Phawx's video is innacurate.
With some modification to DSfix's config file you can get this game running much smoother.
There's videos of it out there.

Also DS2 works better since it's not a botched port.
>>
>>57374965
It can emulate 2D PS2 games (and a handful of 3D games) pretty well under my testing so far.
Dreamcast is doable with NullDC. (reicast for windows is still garbage, and Demul is too much for it)
It can emulate some Dolphin stuff ok.

But mostly it's about the same emulation-wise.
The REAL draw here is the gigantic windows library that works on it, both old and new.

I was playing Transformers: War for Cybertron on my Win earlier and it runs really well on low settings. (Could probably get away with medium even)

It can even somewhat play Dragonball Xenoverse 2.

Good PC ports it can handle surprisingly well in honesty. Some Bad PC ports have hacks that can get them working ok. (Like Sonic Generations)
