Looking for a cheap used tablet (7-8" screen) that is under $200, preferably around $150 that I can read manga and stream anime on.
I would love for it to be able to support web browsing and other normal shit without crashing, and have a decent HD screen.
Would a 1st generation iPad mini be a horrible choice for this?
The Samsung Tab A 8.0 is on sale for $108 bucks on eBay, but I don't know anything about samsung tablets and I'm not sure how good these are.

You can get a Amazon fire hdx 3rd gen that has better tech then most things coming out new today, you can find them for under 80 bucks. It is super simple to get cm11 running on it with a group on xda running development.

I'm leaning more towards a Nexus 7 because of the width and screen resolution. Also I don't really care about the non-expandable storage since I won't be doing too much on it.

The Nexus 7 is really underpowered, don't expect to be able to play 1080p60fps video with it. I will probably be throwing mine away soon, I barely use tablets at all.

I have a Lenovo Tab3 8" and I think it's more than enough for your use case. Cheap as fuck too.
