If you don't run osx, these outperform the MacBook airs by a wide margin.

Linux on the air is painful. I know no one who bothered to try Windows on it, but if probably isn't much better.

If you want to run official blessed osx, you get a MacBook pro. If you want to run anything else, you get ANYTHING but a Mac.

Why the fuck are brands still using complicated serial numbers to identify their offerings? Part of the reason Apple is famous and wanted is their simplicity. Just Macbook iPhone and a number. It is easier to recognize and remember the brand, which is the cornerstone of marketing.

no. this type of "simply because we try hard to be simple" is a lifestyle choice.

people who can't deal with simple things like a model number are probably somewhere on the spectrum and need rigid structure and simple spaces, aesthetics, and concepts so that their damaged minds can operate in at some capacity without having an autism tantrum
