GTX 1060 6GB vs RX 480 8GB - What buy?
I need a new graphics card. My old one can't handle games any more ( GTX 660 )
CPU is an i5-4440 with 32GB RAMs

Gtx 1060

1060, the RX 480 is literally another r9 290/390 rebrand AGAIN

480 obviously. If you check the most recent games it blows the 1060 out of the water. Besides if you want a future proof card ready for directx12 that's the one.

It depends on the game and the sales. Part of me hopes the 1080ti release will lower 1070 prices enough to buy.

doubt it'll fall by much
RX485

buying GTX x60 products generally makes little sense.
it implies you're budget constrained and want to keep your card for a few years, but driver optimization efforts will fall off a cliff in under 2 years after the next great thing comes out.
Get a GTX 1070 or better if you can afford it and are willing to spend $400+ every two years.
Get a RX 480 if you think you'll keep a low-mid tier card for longer than that.
Bonus protips:
Don't buy x80 cards (or Titans unless you're a complete richfag), and wait to buy x80 Ti cards until AMD actually bothers trying to put out a high end card too.
