Hey, i got some old laptop few days ago. It has 1gb of ram and is curretly running Lubuntu. I'm thinking of switching to Mint. What do you guys think, is Mint good far low-end laptops, or should i just stick to Lubuntu?

stick to lubuntu. Mint is too heavy for you. You can try debian + lxde or a wm only if you want something different.
DE matters more than distro. I would say that lxde (what you're using right now) and xfce are the best for low-end machines you can install xfce right now and try it out without installing a new distro.
Mint is fine, bit I never really see a reason to use it over Ubuntu. Pretty much the same thing.

Yea, that is what i'm thinking atm
Off topic, laptop that i'm talking about is Dell Inspiron 6400. I'm thinking about selling it and buying Lenovo thinkpad t61. Do you guys think it's worth it?
