Would it be worth it to put a SSD and a new video card in my desktop, or is it time for an entirely new build?
Your shit is fine, go with a 1060 or 1070 if you're willing to pay more.

The older gen i7's still perform very well.
I still have a 3770k. Just get a new video card.
yeah RX-480, GTX 1060/1070 and an SSD for the boot drive would make it feel brand new, and last you at least 2 more years if not longer.
Christ, I'm not even sure how I'd get Windows 10 on a clean drive. Can you put the installer on a usb stick?

yes

are you really this retarded? The recommended installation is through USB.

I've always just used the reinstall discs, W10 would be the first time I've had to do anything else. Sorry.

>download Rufus
>open Rufus
>load the ISO
>change to MBR or GPT (if you use secure boot, UEFI)
>change your boot settings

Wow, if you like gaymen, you should have bought a much more powerful card and a lower end CPU.
But your CPU won't be a bottleneck for any GPU, so go as high-end as you can go.

I got a Dell workstation for cheap and just jammed in the card once I got it.
