Why did Spotify stop using P2P technology?
>>57328861
Because dedicated servers are faster. They use amazon

Streaming is cancer anyways.

You use MacOS too, and store your data in "The Cloud"?
>>57329125
Yes, because I have nothing to hide.
>>57328881
This is exactly why.
>>57328986
How? Why own any digital media?
>>57329125
I don't use MacOS. The only thing I keep in the cloud are essays/reports etc. Is there something wrong w/ that?
>>57329152
>How? Why own any digital media?
I own CDs, DVDs and Blurays, but only to rip them.
>>57328881
They used their dedicated servers when needed, and P2P otherwise (most of the time). Why does this matter?
Fucking

>Why did Spotify stop using P2P technology?
No idea, but some (shitty) ISPs throttle P2P connections so that could be why, although I don't see how that would matter, given the size of the bit density of the files (not high).

People would keep sneaking malware into the songs.

>People would keep sneaking malware into the songs.
P2P encryption is a thing. Furthermore, music files have standardised file formats and hence can only be played as music, as they are non executable and can only be interpreted by media players.
