Most of them are pretty similar, but here's the ones I've been seeing recommended:

Without being sure, I think it's because the data partition isn't encrypted. Try reflashing your rom.
If you don't have one, I recommend trying GlobeROM. They're based on Xiaomi.eu roms, with some extra improvements and they come prerooted.
