I don't think the 5S is worth it. In my country a new 5S is €305 for 16GB. SE is about €100 more for 16GB or €200 more for 64GB. Definitely worth it for the speed and better camera imo.

Getting it from the UK seems impossible for now, as it's out of stock in the Play Store and Carphone Warehouse cancels all orders using a forwarding service's address (such as forward2me).
Germany is tough too because telekom and T-Mobile only accept German cards and the phone is 100 euros more expensive than in the UK, not to mention the German forwarders ask about 100 euros to buy it for you.
At this point my cheapest option is actually to fly to Luton on Thursday (November 2), go to the CPW store near the airport, buy the phone and fly back to France the next day. But even that is a risky bet because they might not have it in stock or my card might get declined (dunno if they accept non-UK cards in physical stores) and I think I heard somewhere that they require a UK address even if you buy it in person.
Did anyone manage to get a UK Pixel out of the country?

Eh, better is relative. I've used every version since it was born, there's always been something to bitch about with it. I only use it to actually manage music on my phone and back up my phone and iPad. It does, however, do the best job of anything of managing a huge library of tracks. I have all the music I've ever owned, plus various stolen shit (though I'm mainly legit now), plus comedy albums and audio books out the ass. I've never found an app that does as well with thousands of tracks.

Mexifag here, i want a new phone because this LG piece of shit i own is laggy as all fuck even if i try custom roms, and i have three options:

The Moto G4 (4600 MXN)

The Redmi Mi 4 (its the 16 GB internal one, 4000 MXN)

The Redmi Note 3 Pro (its the hexacore SD650 kate version, that is, fully compatible with 4G LTE; 4300 MXN for the 2 GB RAM/16 GB internal, 4800 MXN for the 3 GB RAM/32 GB internal),

All of these are sold officially via walmart and coppel, i know they are far cheaper if i import but i would rather have 1 year of warranty and being able to just drive to the store to complain if the phone shits the bed than shipping it back to china, waiting 2 months and praying i dont get another broken phone.

Usually i wouldnt be asking because i know the 3 GB RAM RN3P is the best choice out of those three, but even though it says in their online catalog they have it in stock in all their stores, when i go to check it out they only have the Golden/Silver 2 RAM/16 internal available, ive gone to at least 5 of these stores and they all tell me the same stuff.

So /g/, is the fabled Redmeme still worth buying like this? And if not then which phone is the best? The Moto G4 has more or less the same specs (just with a shittier snapdragon), less features than the Note 3 Pro, but it has stock android marshmallow upgradeable to nougat and is sold with the turbo power charger (otherwise exclusive to the 5700-6000 MXN Moto G4 Plus) meanwhile the Mi 4 is slightly smaller, has 3 GB of RAM, is bundled with sony earbuds but sadly has no mSD slot and is stuck on 3G bands, i would go for the Mi4 solely for the ram but that lack of mSD kind of kills the phone for me, even if all i do is browse porn and read manga on it at work.

Flashing the RN3P is clusterfuck of missing drivers and BS, not to mention all the MiUI and CM13 bugs. the headache ain't worth it.

Better in what way(s)? The carrier I'm likely going with only has the S5 Neo and it seems to be cheaper to get it through them as opposed to somewhere else. When you say don't bother is that because there are better/cheaper alternatives or because the other ones break easily or something? Youd be surprised how much of a difference 2-3 GB of ram is over a 512-1 GB, whenever i watched videos on the stock browser on my idol 4, usually from motherless, it took at least 20 seconds for it to start playing, i thought it was my shitty wifi but after upgrading to a note 4 i noticed it was supposed to be instantaneous and the lack of ram was holding the video back, most apps instantly opened and loaded as well, pixiv and youtube for example.

I bought a forest blue on to replace my Z3C and its a good upgrade.
Didnt like the other designs on the market as they either look like an iPhone or Samsung in some way. Screen looks great and the finger print scanner is awesome.
Only negs so far is the fuck huge bezels, but you get used to it pretty quick and the camera is just good compared to my wifes iPhone 6s+.

So is the Oneplus 3T now pretty much a confirmed thing? Every phone news outlet has an article up about it and even Evan Blass has tweeted referencing it.

TLDR; Is there anything better than the OnePlus3 yet, for a similar amount of money?

Surely stuff like the Galaxy S7E are slightly better but not 150€ better. The OnePlus3 costed me 370€ (399usd to € means they only charged me 372€ to be precise).

Unfortunately the OnePlus3 doesn't fully satisfy me, the video recording is still garbage (even though the betas are improving, with 60fps video recording and slightly better but still shitty stabilization), and the software feel buggy and half assed to me. Other than that the phone is just fine, that's why I'm conflicted about getting another one. My father is still rocking my old piece of shit Galaxy S4 with a broken screen, so I could give the OP3 to him if I find something better.

Just persuaded my mum to get a OP3, upgrade from iphone 5S, she chose that out of OP3, P9 and P9+

No it is not. You are just a low IQ type person. To the anon you replied to... all these phones, man, and the RN3Pro kicks all of their asses when it omes to value for money. Flashing is dead easy. Install drivers, plug phone in, boot into fastboot and flash with MiFlash. Wait for 5 minutes after first boot for the phone to format itself and done. That simple. I update my firmware that way when needed.

One advice, though. Buy Xiaomi locally, so in case of problems, you can return it. I had one that rebooted in standby by itself ( Kate version ) and had it replaced for Kenzo. No issues since then.

Enjoy your chinkphone. It is definitely worth it. Myself, I will keep upgrading to chinkphones as long there is one that gives out great specs for low monies, and has active community support.

The OP3 is using an optically stabilized Sony camera sensor which is more than adeguate to not make video that looks like shit and isn't stabilized. So I assume yes. The fact they haven't fixed it even though it has been present since day one gives me doubts though.

Went from HTC m8 to the 10. They fucking removed the stock gallery and music player. Had to download the apps. This is my only issue. More forced googleshit. Disappointing but easy workarounds. Fingerprint unlock is one of the most reliable I've seen.

need phone for biking and running - dirt, rain, and sweat resistant, bluetooth LE, 5+ hrs endurance with GPS and heart rate monitor (Strava) running

I'm in the USA (t-mobile) and currently using a Kyocera Hydro Life (C6530). This Kyo was adequate for my use, although the camera is crap and the performance laggy. One year later, for no obvious reason, the screen digitizer is bad - sometimes ignoring button presses and sometimes generating phantom presses.

What does /g/ think of the Samsung Galaxy S5 ? It has an IP67 dust and water resistant rating (like the Kyo) so I don't have to worry about it getting muddy and wet during my rides.

My other phone is an LG G3, which is vastly better than the Kyo, but it would get really bulky if I had to put it in one of those Otterbox things. I would prefer a phone designed to be rugged, and it would have Android 5.0.1 or later and Bluetooth-LE to support my heart monitor. It the screen works while wearing gloves that would be great feature.

Replaced my stolen OG Moto G with a used Galaxy SIII i9305 for 70€ because I'm poor.
Pretty snappy with CM11, though there's still lots of wakelocks to weed out. Good thing I have a 10400 mAh Xiaomi power bank in the mean time with which to top it off.
I figured that I don't really need to spend another 20€ on another tempered glass screen protector this time if I'm already using a wallet case.
