I have a penchant for learning obscure languages I almost never get to use, is all. It's like gaining access to a whole another world which was forbidden for me, it feels sweet when I finally understand shit.

The gendered nouns thing is pretty hard but since I could speak other languages which had those as well, well, it wasn't exactly a walk in the park but it was easier for me than...an american person. I think they have had their fill with learning spanish and they don't really wanna learn other without there being any benefits to it.
