I am currently building a gaming PC for 1080p (high to ultra graphics). Since I am new to this I wanted more input besides the websites that are not as descriptive as I hoped. I mainly need help on deciding on the CPU. I am interested in the Intel Core i5 6600k and AMD A10 7870k. Which would be better in general for gaming on high graphics? Or is there a better one that is similar or less in price?
>amd
>for anything

what's your budget?

My guess is general availability sometime in Feb, but it's possible we'll see a limited availability paper launch earlier.

Wanna spend at max $250 for the CPU

Just buy the 6600k, it should be apparent it's a much better cpu than that apu dogshit.

I was just making sure with people, bc idk if some of the websites had a bias since I haven't been apart of the community too know

What the fuck? Why hasn't anyone shown this man the way back to >>>/v/ yet?

APU are not really a horrible thing for a low price. But they are already low-powered now, in a few years (or even months) you will probally want something better. This is where spending that $250 comes in. Ever notice the 2500k fags going on about not feeling the need to upgrade? They bought a powerful cpu 5-6 years ago that was more expensive than AMD's offerings. Just do the same and buy the 6600k and you won't have to worry about an upgrade for 5 years or more, saving you more money in the end.
