if you have an operating system that's not dogshit, then 24". 4k is 1080p doubled on each axis. operating systems that scale pixel density well will just double everything.
if your operating system is dogshit and doesn't scale well, then you'll need to mitigate the pixel density as much as possible. go with 28.
