Whether or not you have children of your own, or a family members of a newer generation what are impressionable words of advice (technology related) will you hand down to them.
Personally it be something around the lines of experience, so many people wait to start their programming in college, noticing that they were never up for the task and just bail. So just try to learn, don't try to rush, never wait to start

Not really advice, but something I'll like force to my children. I want them to learn GNU/Linux as their first experience with an computer operating system, although schools will probably use Windows and MacOS might be hard for he/she to learn.

I can imagine something like this,I would like for my children to understand the device that they're using. And hopefully when they want a new computer they'll be able to build their own and diagnose basic problems
