/g/ I have a large rar file on a CD from 2008.
and I think the cd is scratched or corrupted
Is there any way to access and unrar the uncorrupted parts of the file?
EVEN THOUGH it's on a CD and I can't move the file onto my desktop

Okay I'm creating a disk image using imgburn.
I don't know if it will get around the corrupted parts of the file though.

I don't know if it will skip over my file because it's corrupted though
No read errors yet.
Maybe it will just read the entire thing.
Can't wait to nostalgia to 2008 porn.

Try this:
> Make a Bin + Cue CD Image
> Check with CDMage for errors
> Try to fix them
(Sorry for the bad english)
You sould be add restoration data to rar file
Find scratch
Polish it out with toothpaste
Profit

incredibly shitty idea.
toothpaste is a rather rough abrasive, it's not suitable for polishing
